Concerta reviews please - very worried

My DS aged 11 is really struggling at school and has been recommended Concerta by the private clinic we used for assessment.
Anyone that can shed some light as panicking about side effects particularly cardiac arrests as we have some heart issues in the family.

Bumping

Prescribed the cheaper non branded version it as an adult and hated it. Hard to describe it exactly, but it felt very rough on me. Crashes in afternoon, trouble sleeping and made me very socially anxious.

I switched to Elvanse and found that much smoother and helpful for concentration.

That being said I know people on concerta and love it, think it all depends on the individual, thus a bit of trial and error for a few months is needed.

No heart concerns with either.

The clinic should arrange for appropriate tests/risk assessment to be done before any medication is prescribed.

They said only an ecg was needed so we did that at another private clinic who then said I could also have a 7 day monitor fitted and an echo if I wanted and now because the option is there I’m wondering if I need to do it 😢
