To ask if anyone has done a free digital boot camp?

I have just finished my degree and am considering looking for a job in the data industry. My degree did have some data analysis and statistics involved but I don't have proper data work experience.

I came across a free 12 week boot camp that covers data analysis using excel and power BI which lots of job adverts state is essential. But I wasn't sure if these boot camps are scams or rubbish or whether anyone has done one and found it useful in helping them get a good understanding and eventually a related job?

If anyone has done one can you recommend a particular one? I'm in Greater London/Kent but would prefer to do an online one anyway. Thanks!

I've used both paid and free bootcamps- for the tech industry, UX/UI, coding, etc. The only truly free ones I know of take donations and are very high quality. I would research who's behind it just like any other school. Your education is only as good as whoever is teaching you. But with online bootcamps you do have to be a self starter and stay motivated. I like the paid ones better just because there's a little pressure to finish. Generally speaking however, bootcamps are the way of the future and as long as you keep a portfolio to show your work, it is comparable to a university program. I know countless others who are working great jobs just doing bootcamps alone. That being said, practice explaining your process and general presentation so you can effectively communicate your new skills. I'm not familiar with your exact line of work but I know Google has a range of certificate programs that are considered equivalent to a degree. I've completed the data analytics and might do other subjects in the future. Reddit is a good place to get feedback on specific camps.

Thank you that's interesting and helpful. I will take a look on Reddit too!
