Would the world be a better place? I think it would, we could be much safer!

You should read The Power by Naomi Alderman. It's about this exact scenario, where women evolve to be able to generate electricity and deliver shocks by touching people, and renders them much more of a physical threat to men than the other way around. I won't post spoilers but it's interesting to see how society changes as a result in the plot, and how quickly the gender roles are reversed.

We would be safer, but would men? The problem is 'more power', whoever wields it is able to wield it for positive or negative purposes.

It’s not just about physical strength, is it?

Men also have testosterone driving them, whereas we have oestrogen and progesterone.

There are consequences when we have sex (pregnancy), whereas no consequence for men.

I think women being physically stronger would simply redress the balance a bit.

100% this. Men act like they do (yes, yes NAMALT) because the patriarchy, the patriarchy is there because men have the power and men have the power because they physically have the power.

If women had the power, there would be as much a problem with an aggressive matriarchy! Women aren't on some basic level "nicer" than men - we're nicer because we need to be, because when you don't hold the power you need something else in your favour.

That's my opinion anyway, evolutionarily speaking!!
