One of my male friends - we've known each other 20 years misses me very much. We often email, call or text.
Thing is, in my nearly every text or email that I send him - I quote at least one line from a late 70s/early 80s lyric - as this was my mid yak era. I don't know what he thinks of this, but he'd be welcome to drop a few lyrics in his communications to me as long as he doesn't use
"I drove my tractor to your haystack last night!" 
On another note, I'm sure all you MNers music tastes are as good as mine do will live these highbrow musical references !
