Car insurance claim confusion

I was wondering if anybody could help me with this. My insurer have closed the accident claim, filed it as a no fault and have said my no claims discount has not been affected. They have all their costs back from the third party.

However the solicitor are still trying to seek costs for the hire vehicle back that I borrowed after the accident and the third party is saying they are not liable for the accident. I’m just confused as how can it still be ongoing despite of liability as my insurer have closed the claim

If it was a hire car and not a courtesy car then this wouldn't be covered through your insurance. Very confusing but worth a google about hire car claims following an accident.

Thanks, this is what I don’t understand. Hastings passed me on to this company regarding the hire car. They said they would deal with it for me and get me a replacement vehicle. My policy did cover a courtesy car in the event of an accident that’s why I don’t understand what’s happened. My car was deemed a total loss and the solicitors said I could still use the hire car until insurer had paid out for my car
