So I’m on the reserve list for a civil service job which I would have absolutely loved.
The interviewer has kindly offered me a call to provide feedback and I’m wondering if anyone has any tips about how to approach it? Essentially I know the main purpose is for them to give me feedback but I’m also hoping to use the time to build on a good impression in the hope that if another vacancy arises I’m at the forefront of their mind.
Im planning to read up on any recent high profile work the organisation has publicised and re-emphasise my enthusiasm for a similar post. And of course respond positively to any feedback.
Can I ask is there anything else you’d look to get across or get out of the call if you were in the same position?
Im just trying to make sure I get the very most out of the ‘face’ time I have with the hiring manager. I’m really hoping that I might get a call up from the reserve list but it might not be realistic as there was only one vacancy.
