To paint ceiling same colour as walls?

I'm not talking a pale or neutral colour. I mean like a pink or something. has anyone done this? How does it look? (i would also do the cornice)

Try a couple of different shades on the walls and leave the ceiling white. Then decide when this is done whether you want to do the ceiling too. A lighter ceiling keeps the room open and slighter bigger feeling.
