I’ve been seeing loads of these recently and “how to make” whatever type of food videos on FB and insta.

I quite like them for inspiration and have sometimes made some of the meals, but WHY do they often feature a close up of the person actually eating/taking the few first bites of their meal all whilst trying to maintain a selfie pose and looking directly in the camera. It’s illustration for me enough to see your prepared food. I do not need to see you attempt to eat it whilst maintaining your pose.

Then just stop the video before it gets to that point? I think it’s important to understand the video is not a personal one for you, and often folks want to see someone try it and say it’s good etc.

Then you’d miss the rest of what they eat in a day.

Well the one I saw when trying to understand the latest cottage cheese craze suggested it was aimed at people with a fetish for watching people eat, judging the young woman suggestively eating cottage cheese off various phallic shaped foods while letting the cottage cheese drip down her chin.
