To tell this bloke to go away

Do my son sold his car about 2 months ago for about 500 quid . The bloke who brought it has just rocked up on my doorstep asking for money to help tax it . Apparently it’s more expensive than he thought. I was calm and told him to go away or I’ll call the police . He accused me of fighting my son’s battles which made me angry as my son can fight them himself . It was more the thing that he’s come to my house and has also been texting my son chasing him for money . I recently changed my car and the tax was dearer should I ho back to the car dealer and demand money back ?

You need to block him and report him. Why didn't he tax the car 2 months ago when he bought it? Perhaps he should have found out how much the tax would be before he bought it.

hes been reported to the police and I don’t think he’ll be back as I was calm but got the point across .

The only way I could see this as being partially acceptable would be if your DS deliberately mislead him on how much the tax would be. Even if that was the case he should've done his own research but I could understand someone being a bit pissed off if that was the case.

I presume that didn't happen because it's just plain stupid, so therefore this is ridiculous!

When I bought my car the tax on older models was £30. Mine is in the £145 bracket. I should get myself back to the dealership shouldn't I?

How is he continually texting your son? Just tell your son to block him, and if he shows up at your house again tell him to clear off or you'll call the police.

@PonyPatter44 he’s now been blocked so it should stop any further chasing .
