To ask how I’m supposed to get something checked, when I have Covid?

Covid positive at the moment so I can’t go to GP surgery. (And wouldn’t anyway, I wouldn’t pass this on). I’ve had a bad cough but it’s a bit better today. Have a pain in right breast bone that is only there when I cough. It is really bad when sitting forward though, or sitting back into a cushion. Once I’m in position, it disappears again. I don’t think I need to be seen by GP, but it got me thinking. If it did worsen, how could I get it checked, as I have Covid? Do GP’s see positive patients, with a mask? I’m in Ireland.

I don't know about Ireland but here I'd ring 111 and see what they said.

GPs do see people with covid now. Ours makes you wait in the corridor rather than the main waiting room and gives you a Mask. I spoke to 111 as I have to have antivirals last night and they told me that the hospital don't segregate now and they or the gp would see me if my symptoms worsen

Ask this on the Craicnet forum OP.

I would think that if it worsens it would probably be best to call the GP and ask what you should do. They may still be OK to see you but will be able to advise what extra precautions would need to be taken.
