Dog poo in front of gate

My back garden backs onto a row of allotments with a small walk way in between. Somebody keeps leaving their dogs poo outside my back gate. I have a small child and we are regularly trying to avoid it. I believe it is the same dog owner/dog each time. Is there anywhere I can report this or what would you do?

I’d put a sign up to hopefully shame them.

You can report to the council if it is their land, they clean it up and put up a sign, I believe they can also spray a deterrent

Are you sure it's dog poo? My husband lost his rag at the same thing, poo even on our doorstep and so he put up cameras. It was the foxes!

Put this on your gate

Stick a little flag in it saying "Sample taken for DNA testing". People who are ignorant enough to leave dog poo are probably too thick to realise their dog doesn't have its DNA registered.

But yes, could be foxes.

Hedgehog poo can be surprisingly big too.

Could be a cat.

I keep finding cat shit on my allotment.
