GK got handed the goverment Bucket of Shit yesterday and toured the media studios expecting thanks for carrying it around and throwing it at us viewers re concrete in schools. When it was not forthcoming she had an expletive fuelled snark at the poor interviewer.
IABU Well done GK, give us more of the same
YANBU Get a grip GK. We should throw it back at you
and your mates.

She can believe it all she wants. She’s not getting any praise here. I don’t care how many expletives she uttered. She can take Nick Gibb with her on her journey to oblivion too.

stbrandonsboat · 05/09/2023 11:20

Stupid person believes she deserves praise for not doing her job.

gherkeen · 05/09/2023 11:21

It's been revealed that earlier this year she says... We just need to brush this under the carpet for two years then it's someone else's problem.

She doesn't deserve thanks for that

So she was happy to keep children in potentially unsafe schools. Keep it quiet and make it someone else's problem, is not the strategy of a competent government

Keegan keeps the lid on RAAC

A whistleblower exclusively tells East Anglia Bylines the education secretary deliberately mounted a cover-up of the RAAC dangers.

Stupid is as stupid does 🤷🏻‍♀️

What if a child was killed or injured?

VickyEadieofThigh · 05/09/2023 12:45

As of this moment, FOUR people have voted YABU.

Is that Gillian and 3 family members? Because - surely - NOBODY can actually think she's done a good job?!

Laiste · 05/09/2023 12:57

She didn't come across well in her apology, let alone during that spewing of 'doesn't anybody ever say anything fucking good about us' or whatever it was.

Another tory politician we can all admire ...

Sparklesocks · 05/09/2023 13:04

Just shows the entitlement of some of these MPs, expecting the red carpet for doing the basics of the job they’re paid handsomely to do.

Pastlast · 05/09/2023 13:09

A lot of people on the other thread were say it’s not her fault because it happened in the 60s and 70s. It shows how the narrative can easily get lost…

TooBigForMyBoots · 05/09/2023 13:14

She hasn't been able to provide guidance to schools wrt trans kids. She's just another lazy, incompetent Tory.

So she was banking on everything going to shit once the Tories had lost the election and she had a nice new well-paying non-work job lined up?

SizzlestheSausageDog · 05/09/2023 13:22

She's on Jeremy Vine right now, blaming schools some more.

SizzlestheSausageDog · 05/09/2023 13:24

'they haven't sent their surveys back, we even opened a hotline'

2000s it wasnt me GIF

Invoking the Shaggy response I see.

Sloth66 · 05/09/2023 13:51

This is the 10k Rolex watch woman. The one whose husband’s firm got a 24 million government contract during Covid. Was there fair bidding?
Also the one with multiple homes around Europe and the UK. Nice lifestyle, she will head to the private sector as soon as possible to make even more money.

DrManhattan · 05/09/2023 13:56

Another example of Tory scum

Ireolu · 05/09/2023 14:01

She is hideous. I am NOT a fan.

99victoria · 05/09/2023 14:11

All her blathering about how well funded schools are - I am a Chair of Governors at a rural infant school. Our annual capital allocation is £4 800!😡

DrSbaitso · 05/09/2023 14:16

She's the kind of knob who thinks they deserve tons of praise and adulation for doing their job. And she's not doing her job.

Start holding all their meetings in schools where the ceilings might fall in at any moment.

VickyEadieofThigh · 05/09/2023 17:08

SizzlestheSausageDog · 05/09/2023 13:22

She's on Jeremy Vine right now, blaming schools some more.

What's her rationale for blaming schools for this?

mbosnz · 05/09/2023 17:16

Surely even the Tories are truly scraping the absolute bottom of their barrel of arrogant, clueless, hopeless incompetents by now?

Reugny · 05/09/2023 17:33

VickyEadieofThigh · 05/09/2023 17:08

What's her rationale for blaming schools for this?

Teachers are suppose to be surveyors/structural engineers so know where RAAC is in their schools and whether the school will collapse due to it.

She's actually moaning about schools not returning a survey about their buildings.

RamsesTheChub · 05/09/2023 17:34

I sort of get it's not nice to have been landed with a problem decades in the making, but no one asked her to change history. Just take responsibility as the secretary of state for the issue at hand. She hasn't...

....bothered. Too busy sunning herself in her holiday home.

I'm sick of hearing "someone else's fault" from these Tories. It's the civil service blob, it's the media, it's Putin, it's the migrants, it's the EU (or Germany / France), it's the ECHR.... nope, it's your incompetence, every single time. Just call the election ffs.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 05/09/2023 17:43

Surely - NOBODY can actually think she's done a good job?!

Of course she hasn't - very few of them do - but I'm not sure why all the blame is being piled on central government when it's the job of the local authority, academy trust or voluntary-aided body to manage the condition of their buildings

Yes they'll whine about "savage cuts" and Westminster not giving them enough, even while wasting much of what they've got on non-jobs and vanity projects, but that doesn't change the fact it's their responsibility

Pix56 · 05/09/2023 17:45

But the tories know what a woman is.
