Would you be bothered about this? This car is over 20k 2018 34,000 miles.

Also trading in my car which has the odd scratch

Would you expect the dealership to fix this?

It's not clear from your post - was the damage already there when you originally viewed the car?

Cotswoldbee · 02/09/2023 13:56

As PP asked, did you do this when collecting or was it already done?
If existing damage, was any agreement made at the time of purchase to repair the damage prior to collection?

Bluevelvetsofa · 02/09/2023 13:56

Did you see it and agree a resolution at the time of leaving a deposit? If you didn’t, then I suppose it’s a case of buyer beware.

There are companies that fix kerbed alloys, if you want to get them looking pristine again.

LadyHag · 02/09/2023 14:03

I would assume general wear and tear on a used car. They don't look bad (which says a lot about my car haha)

Yarnysaurus · 02/09/2023 14:10

I've always asked for kerbed alloys to be sorted as a condition of purchase, alongside other bodywork damage etc.

Did you buy the car unseen?

LondonQueen · 02/09/2023 14:12

I would want the alloys fixed if they were kerbed like that. I've done similar myself in the past and always had them fixed.

Frabbits · 02/09/2023 14:12

If it was like it when you viewed the car, then no, I wouldn't expect it to be sorted.

It's not a new car. The odd mark/scratch and curbed alloy is par for the course.

I doubt I'd even notice tbh, mine look tens times worse than that gGrin

Ratfinkstinkypink · 02/09/2023 14:17

I would expect them to be fixed on collection.
