Specifically - a minor whinge about allergy information
Stopped by a takeaway popup, a van selling lovely decorated doughnuts and thought it would be nice to treat the DCs by taking some home. DS has an egg allergy but very often we have found doughnuts from similar places are egg free, so its a treat he enjoys. On the front of their display was a big sign saying ' Ask for allergy information'
So I did - to be met with totally blank stares and 'I dunno' from the ladies manning the stand. Apparently they didn't know anything about their products and didn't have any written information either that we could check. They did try to phone their boss who wasn't answering the phone - but seemed very grumpy that I wouldn't buy anything without being able to check for allergens
So, no doughnuts for us, and no support for a local company with what looked like some nice products.
Is it just me who finds this ridiculous - that if you have a big sign suggesting that you can get information on allergies, the information should be available and staff able to access it?
YANBU - Info should be available
YABU - Im asking for too much
