To ask how I can report a crime anonymously?

Does anyone know if there is a way to report a crime completely anonymously in a way that 100% cannot be traced back to me please? I’ve tried googling but can’t find a definitive answer. Thank you in advance. I just need to make sure it can’t be traced back to me for a few reasons but mainly because of fear of repercussions from one of the people involved.

I think crime stoppers/police can also trace no caller ID’s?

I think you're over thinking the IP thing a bit here. You do realise an IP address doesn't actually reveal your exact location or specific home address? Besides what do you think crimestoppers will do, track your IP so they can tell the dealers who told them? An IP address isn't as person specific as most people think it is.

Use a temporary PAYG sim card to report the crime, either on line or by phone, then dispose of it.

Buy a burner sim with cash, travel some distance before putting it in the phone, make the call. Take the sim out before travelling home and destroy/dispose of it.

Even if your IP address were visible to the tech geeks at Crimestoppers, it doesn’t get passed to the police.

And even if it did (which it doesn’t) in order to identify where the address came back to an application for data would have to be submitted to an independent body for approval - there’s no chance of it getting approved, because you are not the criminal.

Even if it was a malicious report (not saying it is but they do happen) it still wouldn’t be looked into because (1) it’s too much time and money for a not serious offence and (2) the report could have been made in good faith so again any application for personal data would not be authorised even if you could find someone willing to look into it further.

You're getting confused between untraceable and anonymous.

You'll never really be untraceable (by the agency you report it to) although they will have no interest in tracing you under normal circumstances.

Anonymity is taken very seriously and you can be sure crimestoppers will honour that

A letter is the best and cheapest untraceable way, you can print out the letter cutting out any identifying printer information. You are right to be weary if you are dealing with organized crime.
