How to kindly change Hairdresser

My hairdresser is on maternity leave. I much prefer the person I am seeing in her place. How do I stay with her and not upset my regular hairdresser when she returns to work?.

Is regular one coming back p/time perhaps? It would be a shame if her days didn’t coincide with when you can go?

This has been on my mind for years! I had been going to a particular hairdresser for a couple of years and was perfectly happy with her, then one day she was sick so they called and asked me if I would be happy with another stylist. I decided I would as I was going on holiday a couple of days later, anyway the new one just seemed to understand my colours better and I have since discovered that she generally is seen as the colour expert.

I decided to stick with her and I sort of blamed it on scheduling as the original one only worked one Saturday per month, so I booked Saturday appointments for a while. I have since changed to Tuesday appointments as I know that is a day the original one doesn't work.

I have only once or twice been in for an appointment when the original one has been working and it was a bit embarrassing but original one was very friendly and didn't make it awkward. I have been feeling guilty for years now though. 😊

Please never feel guilty , it’s normal and expected.
we are just happy that clients still come in at all

If I can’t fit mine in and try and get them to go to others , really we are not offended
And also you are paying a lot so you get to choose !
Its easy to get stuck in a rut so good to change around 😊

It's tricky when you don't want to hurt peoples feelings isn't it. Cross your fingers and hope that she comes back part time.

I changed hairdressers to a different salon because the hair dresser in my usual salon couldn't achieve what I actually wanted. I still go to the old salon for my nail lady though. First time was awkward but after that I just got on with it.
