So I'm well aware I'm probably overreacting to this but it's driving me crazy.
I was on clexane injections that stopped around a month ago, and I had one particularly bad bruise/lump from one injection (I'll attach a pic). This lump has not gone away. It's now a small, pea sized hard lump that's painless to the touch, and logically I know it's caused by the injection, but I have a little voice telling me that it's bowel cancer and I'm going to die. My doctor can't see me for another week and I'm freaking out! Please lovely ladies of Mumsnet, calm my nerves!

That isn’t bowel cancer. It’s quite common to have a lump after injecting.

A nodule can persist for weeks and sometimes months. They are usually asymptomatic but can be tender and/or itchy. They are often reported by parents to feel like a 'pea' size lump under the skin. They usually resolve spontaneously without treatment or investigation.

Oh that sounds exactly like mine, is that from Google? I've not googled purposefully as I'd ignore pages of stuff telling me im fine and find the one page that tells me I'm at deaths door!

I had to do injections after a recent surgery. I had a lump under a bruise that lasted a good few weeks, and the little bruises/dots lasted ages too.

Aside from the fact it's obviously from the injections, this isn't how bowel cancer would show. Symptoms of bowel cancer are not bruises or lumps close under the skin.
