Driving test booked but still nervous about lessons

I have been having driving lessons on and off for two years now. Within the two years I've had a few lengthy breaks and had my most consistent lessons without breaks from December last year.

I have my test in a few months but I'm wondering how I could possibly be ready when I still feel soooo unbelievably nervous before every lesson. I have a lesson at 7:30 tonight and I already can't get off the loo due to nerves!

Anyone have any tips on what can help? Will this ever get better? I actually hate driving so much. I don't mind it around the area I know, but he always has me driving off here there and everywhere and going on the motorway etc which I know is good for experience but I hateee it and spend the whole lesson tense and sweating and I'm exhausted when I get home. I'm determined to pass because it would open up so many job opportunities for me and generally make life easier, but I actually don't know if I'll be able to make I through a test due to extreme nerves

I was so nervous before my test my mum (who unbeknown to me knew I was smoking) offered me one of her fags! I passed and pretty much straight away found it much easier driving alone than with an instructor sat next to me with the radio off making awkward small talk.

Good luck I'm sure you'll be fine.

It does get better. I used to dread every lesson. I passed my test first time and I love driving now.
