Do you know someone who’s had good cosmetic surgery?

Asking as I read a thread recently where a few people mentioned friends and acquaintances who’d had stuff done and in their opinion would have looked better without, but the friend was happy with it. And lots of people are happy with their own treatment.

(Not thinking of fillers, botox or other ‘tweakments’)

So is there anyone who knows someone, who in their opinion has had a great outcome? (I can think of a few celebrities who this applies to but don’t know anyone in real life (that I know of).

Yep my friend has had a little nose job and looks amazing. Subtly refined and bump removed.

My sister had breast implants and they look perfectly fine. She was very flat chested before and was pretty unhappy before but she’s happy with the results.

My mother had a facelift in her 70s (just over 10 years ago) and looked amazing. She's a tiny lady and had a lot of loose skin so in addition to just making her face look younger it weirdly made her head look more more in proportion to her body.

I was worried for her at the time but it changed my mind completely. If I had the cash I'd have my droopy neck fixed immediately.

Me! Will name change soon.

I had a rhinoplasty when I was 19 and within a year or two four of my friends decided to see my surgeon and do the same.

The best surgery outcomes are about giving balance and proportion. If that's the goal, rather than looking like a barbie, then you'll have a good outcome.

My nose was too wide for my small face and now it suits.

I've never regretted it for a second.

Facial or body? Be aware of possible scars and ask what to expect in terms of that if considering.

I was curious more about stuff to the face!

I’d forgotten people even get stuff done on their body when writing the question, you know.

I has my ears pinned back, was the best decision, they stuck out through my hair, at school sometimes they called me trophy head...now I can wear ponytails and any up-do I want.

Glad I’ve bought to your attention lol! I had my body stuff done more for
function and partially for cosmetic but the scars are reeall! At least hair could cover facial procedures possibly/partially. And I’mcase of rhinoplasty no scars fantastic! I’d just advise getting a real good recommendation/ look at their past procedure pics etc and then decide could be life changing in good or bad way?! Tread carefully x

I'm pretty sure I posted on that thread about my friend who doesn't look "bad" she just didn't look like herself anymore - younger but it was a bit odd. As in she didn't look like her younger self - more like a different younger person.

I think it was particularly the change it made to her eye shape post face lift. She used a very reputable £££ surgeon.

She is happy with the results so I think that's all that matters but it definitely put me off ever having a face lift.

That said I think there are other procedures that work well (ear pinning/nose jobs) that can have a really positive effect visually and in terms of self confidence.
