Is there much covid in New Zealand?

Twitter tells me lots of New Zealand folk are very upset, some guideline about covid isolation & masking has been lifted I think?

I didn’t realise any countries still had restrictions, or at least none that people cared much about any more. What’s the Covid situation over there?

Well I'm here and I don't know anyone who is upset.

The last part of the restrictions have been dropped and they weren't exactly draconian. These were suggestions to isolate for 7 days if you have covid and recommendation to wear a mask when you visit the GP.

Covid cases pretty low.

Well I'm in NZ and my reaction to the news was - huh, we have restrictions still? Even when I was at ED the other week there was no mask requirements. I have no idea what people on twitter say, but I doubt they represent the average view here.
