Any dentists or docs about? Suture in gum *really* bothering me

I had one upper and lower wisdom teeth removed yesterday. It's all very swollen and sore but the suture in my upper gum is really bothering me - it's extremely sore and feels almost like it's cutting into my gum? It was bugging me a bit earlier but it's getting more and more uncomfortable, even with regular painkillers where as everything else is settling down. Is there anything I should be doing to help? I've been following the directions I was given to the letter! If I can figure out how to get a pic I'll add one.

Your area should have an emergency out-of-hours dentist who will probably see you if you’re in pain. Sounds like the suture is a little too tight. Are you taking effective painkillers with codeine? This will help a lot for the first few days.

When I had invasive dental work including stitches over the last year, my excellent dentist gave me a dental gel and Corsodyl mouthwash to be used twice a day, saying that the mouthwash was the most important.

Your options will be to have the suture replaced or live with it for a few more days. A dentist will be able to advise you which would be better.
