I’ve been seeing a guy and we have been getting on well but I’m not sure if it will work out tbh and started to have doubts. He’s lost his job and is always awake until the very early hours then sleeping till late in afternoon, he doesn’t drive so I am always going to him, he drinks a lot at the weekends and I don’t drink.

He sounds like a loser. Get rid.

AnneLovesGilbert · 11/08/2023 11:51

Yes it would. I’d want to date a fully formed adult, not what sounds like a teenager. Move on.

SamW98 · 11/08/2023 11:53

Yep. People lose their jobs, that’s life but then they do what they can to find another one.

This i’be sounds a loser - get rid

BiscuitsandPuffin · 11/08/2023 11:54

You absolutely need to dump him. Then it might be worth spending some time single and working on your self esteem and working out why you have such low standards.

greyhairnomore · 11/08/2023 12:00

First why did he lose his job ?
Is he looking for another one ?
The lying in bed all day - nope.
Drinking -it depends , I like a drink bit bit so I lie in bed all day.
Deal breaker for me would be smoking 🚬

Up until late gaming? Nah, I'd want a relationship with a man, not an overgrown teenager. Gaming is fine in addition to real life, not instead of.

bobotothegogo · 11/08/2023 12:30

Sounds very unappealing. What does he actually bring to the table?

growgrowinggrown · 11/08/2023 12:33

Are you genuinely asking? What about that list gives the impression that there are any redeeming features?
Jesus wept the standards are so low now.

FrivolousTreeDuck · 11/08/2023 12:33

Staying in bed all day as a regular thing would be a dealbreaker. Depressing.

Hoppinggreen · 11/08/2023 12:34

Looooooseeeeeeeerrrr
As my DC would say

polkadotdalmation · 11/08/2023 12:35

Walk.

Thebigblueballoon · 11/08/2023 12:35

You don’t sound compatible. And he’s developed some very unhealthy habits. Was he like that before he lost his job? When did he lose it and is he actively looking for a new one?

WhineWhineWhineWINE · 11/08/2023 12:38

Ugh no. That would really put me off. Teenagers might be able to get away with being up and night and asleep all day, but it's not attractive in a grown man.

CalistoNoSolo · 11/08/2023 12:39

The not driving would be enough for me to get the immediate ick. You are not being U to dump him for this reason alone.

SwordToFlamethrower · 11/08/2023 12:41

My husband can't drive. Baffling to imagine dumping him for that.

maddiemookins16mum · 11/08/2023 12:42

urghhh, sounds like a lazy 18 year old (and that’s being unkind to them really).
You can do better.
