Does anyone know?

I just want simple sounds for a background noise.

There’s free podcasts on Apple Podcasts (and I’m sure other providers) that are just meditation music, nature sounds etc.

Not used it yet but Balance app is free for 12 months? It's got meditation stuff on there

You Tube, loads of videos that are just audio of pretty much everything under the sun. White noise, meditation music, gong sounds, sea swishing on distant shores... 😀

Calm app does a lot of free sounds, sleepscapes etc

Insight timer is amazing and has loads and loads of free soundscapes, mediations etc. when you sign up it seems like you have to pay (premium / free for 7 days etc) but you can just skip!

It’s a great app I’d highly recommend. No ads too.

Calm isn’t free but is pretty cheap - circa £35 per year which is good value if you use it a lot!

Maybe Insight Timer?

Check out Rain Rain - it's lovely and you can mix the sounds too. I have Ocean Waves, Thunder Cracks and Chilled Beats at the moment 😊

Try a soft murmur. It's exactly what you're describing and you can tune it to suit what you like.

whoruntheworldgirls · 10/08/2023 20:44

I use slumber, that has some free sounds

SiouxsieSiouxStiletto · 10/08/2023 20:45

I use Insight Timer for Meditation and that's free.

Thank you for all the suggestions, I’ll check them out right now.

Thank you.

I use headspace (on trial), Breethe which has certain content available without paying and calm (similar story), but you can also find some on podcasts etc

Mischance · 10/08/2023 20:55

Insight Timer - you can subscribe, but masses of it is free.

TheFireflies · 10/08/2023 20:56

I use Rain Rain

WhatDoIKnowAboutThis · 10/08/2023 20:58

Oh my god!

I downloaded the rain rain one, and you can mix the sounds and I made a fireplace/cat purring one!
I love it 🥰!

Thanks again everyone!
