I don’t know what I want!

So my budget is 35k and below.
Im the type who really enjoys driving and I want it to feel luxurious.

I enjoy lots of fun techie stuff.

I do lots of long distance driving.

I have 2 kids in car seats and a pram.

I have a 6ft very long legged husband.

I currently drive an Audi A4. Very ancient one and it’s dying. I love the look of a Mercedes but very mixed reviews on if they’re worth the money.

I can’t decide if I want something high up or low down?!

Completely clueless please help!

We've got a Jeep compass and really like it. Lots of gadgets and safety features, very comfortable to drive and looks nice. Good leg room all round and a very good sized boot. OH particularly enjoys the Beats speakers!

Ford Kuga. Best car I've ever owned. Fills all your criteria.

Badbadbunny · 10/08/2023 19:44

Volvo XC40 sounds as if it ticks your boxes.

I’ve just got a Peugeot 2008 gt in selenium grey and I’m obsessed! It looks like a Range Rover evoke but half the price and cheaper to run!

GetUpStandUp4 · 10/08/2023 19:52

skoda karoq edition (pre 2020) comes with all the lux features. Post 2020 you have to add all the luxuries separately. brilliant car. massive boot - best in class for that. Great gadgets.

Chocolatefrenzy · 10/08/2023 20:26

My husband has just got a new top range ford Kuga and loves it

I’ve really never liked driving fords but I might give one a test drive! I really like the bmw x4m. Best of both worlds in that it’s coupe shaped but high up like an suv.

We have a Peugeot 5008 which I think ticks all your boxes and at 35k you could get nearly new with bells and whistles. Think mine was 30k last year and it's 2 years old with a panoramic sunroof, massage seat, internal lighting you can change, voice activation, etc etc etc...

Also you can get three car seats across the back (the real reason I bought it) and the boot has two spare seats but it doesn't look like a 7 seater.

I used to have an R line Tiguan and I'd really recommend that. It was 40k in 2015 new I think but with top of the range engine and IT PARKED ITSELF. So imagine also in budget. It was super zippy (left a friend with a brand new Range Rover Vogue in my dust up a steep hill!) . A joy to drive. I miss it but the 5008 is so roomy and really practical with the kids.
