To ask about Netflix account- I’ve been hacked

Sorry I’m posting for traffic. I was locked out of my Netflix account yesterday. Contacted Netflix via messenger who confirmed my account had been compromised and advised to change email address and password. I did this and logged in. An hour later I was locked out again.
I contacted Netflix again who advised that as whoever has hacked my account has access to my login information I was not able to ‘pass’ security checks (as hackers obviously had this information) could not therefore verify I was the account holder. I was told Netflix could not close my account as couldn’t verify who I was and would continue to ‘monitor’ my account. I am meanwhile paying my monthly subscription and am locked out!
I can obviously cancel payment for my subscription via my bank but feel a bit pissed off that Netflix can’t / won’t close my existing account. All while some cheeky sods are in my account free of charge.

Has this happened to anyone here?

Cancel your subscription then change EVERY password you have relating to that email address. You get some hackers who are fairly benign and hijack your Spotify or Netflix and nothing else, it's a good reminder to update your security.
