She washed her mooncup in my coffee mug!

I came home one day and was absolutely livid to find that my housemate was washing her mooncup in my coffee mug. When I asked her as to why she would do that, she was surprised and said she didn’t think it was offensive and had done it before. Unknowingly, I had been drinking from that cup. I still feel sick at the thought.

Some people think I am over-reacting to be angry or disgusted by this. AIBU to think it is disgusting?

That is disgusting!

DixonD · 05/08/2023 17:52

It’s grim. And she’s weird for not realising that.

QuestionableMouse · 05/08/2023 17:52

Wash the cup with hot soapy water and get on with life!

SocialLite · 05/08/2023 17:53

I mean, it's not nice, but don't you wash things thoroughly?

Aquamarine1029 · 05/08/2023 17:53

This can't be real.

LividHot · 05/08/2023 17:53

I don’t believe it.

You either boil them or soak them with chemicals.

Why would a mug be involved?

Theoriginalmrscillianmurphy · 05/08/2023 17:54

Vile.

I'd take a shit I. Her breakfast bowl.

I hate periods, they are disgusting, natural, but disgusting.

WhateverMate · 05/08/2023 17:54

New penis beaker? 🙄🙄🙄

DisplayPurposesOnly · 05/08/2023 17:54

Just how big is your coffee cup??

BrownFlower2 · 05/08/2023 17:55

That’s disgusting!

Chowtime · 05/08/2023 17:55

cool story

Violinist64 · 05/08/2023 17:55

If it was not a problem, why didn’t she wash it in her own mug. I think you have two options. The first one is to use bleach to give it a thorough clean and to disinfect it. The other option is to buy a new mug. In both instances, I would be keeping my mugs in my own room from now on.

This can't be real.

Of course it isn't.

vodkaredbullgirl · 05/08/2023 17:56

really?

calmcoco · 05/08/2023 17:56

Why in your coffee mug, and not her own coffee mug?

It's not going to harm you if you wash it properly, but it is grim and she is very odd for doing that.

Aquamarine1029 · 05/08/2023 17:53

This can't be real.

It can't be indeed.
In the event that it is, it's disgusting!

😂

Screamingabdabz · 05/08/2023 17:58

I would be raging too. She should’ve used her own crockery. I would ask her to replace the mug.

CaroleSinger · 05/08/2023 18:00

I don't think you are being unreasonable. I do however think it's a dull wet day and you're just making this up. 😉

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 05/08/2023 18:10

I definitely did not laugh at this.

Definitely not.

dizzydizzydizzy · 05/08/2023 18:11

Ewww! Utterly disgusting!

Moulook31 · 05/08/2023 18:12

I’m no Stephen King, this horror story is unfortunately true.

I’m not so sure - there is alway one person in a house share that is an utter scummo! I had a flat mate at uni who stored a half used pack of raw chicken in a cupboard… and another that used my hand towel because they ran out of loo paper…
