To not want to sweat over people (literally)

Joined a local gym a few months ago. Enjoying it but have huge issues with overheating and sweating. There’s no air con. I’m thinking of moving to another facility.
Has anyone experienced a non air con gym? It’s my choice and no one will give a toss, but if i move, will working out in air con be much more pleasant/easier ?? Is it reasonable to expect the treadmill experience to improve?

Nothing worse than working out in a sweltering room. I've used 'hotel gyms' which are nothing more than a running machine in a sweatbox.

Air con is always a plus, but getting hot is inevitable if you're burning calories. I use a cooling towel to help a bit.

Can you try out the new gym before you commit to see if its any better?

Yes it will improve. Give a gym with air con a trial and see if it’s a better experience.

I’m in the same situation as you. Joined a gym less than 10 mins from my house but they’ve no aircon (it’s in an old office building on an industrial estate). I’ve left as it’s just too hot for me. I’ve had a trial at the local leisure centre, where they do have aircon. You obviously still get hot when working out but there is a massive difference. I’m going to trial the other gym in the area and see which I like best.

Thanks for comments so far. Defo gonna try council gym(s) as you can use several sites and lots more facilities. I was just a bit alarmed as I normally don’t sweat!!!
I can cancel my gym any time. Council say I can pop in and check them out.
my current gym is very weights based as well ..
