Feeling lonely and think I need to change my work.

Do you have a social job where you interact with nice people all day? What is it?

I’m a nurse but people aren’t always nice, unfortunately, even though I have to be.

I work in a hotel, people are not always nice but the majority are. I like my job meeting different people

Register Office...register births and deaths and marry people. It's a lovely job and I really enjoy chatting to all the people I meet.

I worked in laboratories, either in the lab or as lab administration and it was always very sociable at work and lots of different interactions with different people

Teacher. 99% of those I spend all day with are lovely and I don’t think a more social job exists.

I’m a teacher. Hundreds of social interactions all day every day; not all of them nice. Great colleagues for the most part, though!

Speech and Language Therapist. I chat all day to lovely people. There's the odd exception obviously but it's a very social career.

Teacher & a hairdresser ( teach hairdressing in an FE College). Both extremely sociable! Work in a great teaching team of four plus the students who are aged 14 upwards, I laugh everyday.
Salon is different, end up with clients that I've known for 20 years who share their life with you (not always good) plus the other stylist's who can sometimes be challenging.

I don't know how people can bear 9 to 5 social interaction. My dream day is speaking to no one at work and we never have team drinks or anything like that. Goes to show how different people are.

Work at Harry Potter studio tour. Very social both the team and the guests.

Safeguarding and Pastoral Lead in a school. My colleagues are lovely and supportive, we laugh a lot. The kids are a joy. Not all interactions with parents are pleasant unfortunately, but I would say most are. I don't think there is a job in existence where you interact with people all day and can guarantee they're all "nice people".

GP Receptionist/Care Coordinator - I work with an amazing team and 99% of the patients I speak to are lovely, I really like the social aspect of my job too. I genuinely enjoy going to work and spending time with my workmates.

Marketing and events. I talk to people all day long, and love it.
I do sometimes need to sit in silence for a half hour at the end of the day when everyone else has gone home though.
