Ebayer not paid, when to cancel the order?

I recently had a good clear out of stuff I'd kept from DS (16 months now) and some of DDs tiny baby stuff (she's 7 weeks but a little dottle and only just starting to fit into newborn/first size).

So far I've been pretty lucky and all sold and buyers paid, have made more than I'd anticipated tbh, I was just happy to not have to get rid of it and was glad it would find a new home so that's a bonus that I made a wee bit.

2 seperate buyers bought trainers on the 23rd but haven't paid yet, I'm new to ebay so unsure when to bite the bullet and cancel the orders. Google says after 4 days. What's your personal option on how long to give them to pay- I know we're all feeling the pinch atm so was giving them more time, but they haven't responded to messages either (I sent a message yesterday saying I was passing the post office today and could send it off then but to no avail) so I'm very unsure what to do and looking for others experiences.

YABU - give them more time

YANBU - Cancel items and relist now

Thanks in advance for any opinions.

Check in the eBay help centre

Are your selling preferences set so that it opens a dispute after a certain number of days?
Give them a nudge by sending them an invoice and let them know when you're able to send it.

It used to be something like 5 days but may have changed

greenteaandmarshmallows · 27/07/2023 18:09

I cancel as soon as ebay lets me

I cancel after four days and make sure I report as buyer not paid as this prevents any feedback been left by the 'buyer' at a later stage and is also reported on their account.
