To cancel garden party in august due to rain?

We are hosting a Hawaiian theme party for our 30th first weekend in august and I'm concerned about the weather. Obviously we won't know until a few days before but I'm trying to keep positive although the weather is looking not so positive... it's been planned for 4 months and we've spent a fortune buying and prepping for it. How long would you wait before cancelling it?

I am hosting a garden party on Saturday for my 30th (approx 30 people coming) and I’ve booked and paid for a caterer… we’ve got a marquee (6.5x3.5m) and a couple of 3x3m gazebos…. No way am I cancelling! I’ll dance in the rain if I must 😁

it’s all about what you make it. Just have fun and forget the crappy, unpredictable British weather! X

My friend had a 50th in her garden 2wks ago and it was raining heavily. She borrowed a couple of gazebos for the drink and put the food inside. People still stood outside under the gazebo’s and it was still a good night. She was raging about the weather as you’d expect to get a good weather day end of July, but not this year it seems

I went to a wedding reception in Hawaii outside in the rain… so think of it as authentic 🤣

Yes get a tent/gazebo/whatever you call them and hope for the best.
