Please can anyone help with the childcare tax free account? Does this mean I don’t qualify?

Ex has no involvement with dc and earns over 100k. Online it says you can’t have the tax free account if one parent earns over 100k. Does this mean I can’t open the account? I earn less than 100k. It seems insane I can’t use the account but I don’t want to do anything wrong.

Also I have called three times to ask and nobody can give me an answer, they just refer me back to the website?!

I’m pretty sure it’s only asking for those with residency of the child. He doesn’t live with you and you don’t have that income coming into your household

It’s the same criteria as for UC surely, so if your ex isn’t living with you or contributing to the household you should qualify. If you have a new partner living with you and they earn over £100k then you wouldn’t.
