to not get coverage of Rhodes fires

Short haul flights are horrendous for the environment. They cause climate change which causes wildfires.

So people are complaining about the consequences of their actions, but not sparing much of a thought for the people whose homes and livelihoods are burning.

Why is this being covered as something that's divorced from climate change and only from a holiday maker's perspective?

I'm sure it's horrible being stuck out there but...

It's hardly a surprise that British media is concerned about something that's affecting many British citizens.

I don't know what news you've been reading but the news coverage and articles I've seen/read have referenced climate change. I've read numerous articles on it since the latest heatwaves.

Also but what?

The coverage in the media here is all about what gets the most clicks - that will be stories about British people in 'Holiday Hell'.
