To think cancellation plans twice is inconsiderate?

A friend cancelled plans during the week (which is fine these things happen) but did it a second time today, after she rearranged it. Both times it was that she had deadlines for work- which were known about in advance of any plans. Also to note- she made the plans herself and I offered if she was too busy to leave it. But she said she wanted to go ahead. During the week she cancelled our catch up in the evening, but suggested a daytime coffee instead.

Unfortunately, I already had plans for the day time as I had kept the evening free to meet her, so I couldn’t meet them. She rearranged for
tonight and I made the booking. I got a message this morning cancelling. She said ‘oh I considered a coffee instead but it’s raining.’ Full of apologies and that but I still feel a bit off about it. As I said cancellation obviously happens, but twice in a few days! AIBU to think it’s a bit inconsiderate?

Yes it is. She doesn't sound reliable so I would take any plans with her in the future wih a pinch of salt

Flakey op. I found with this behaviour I just dont plan things with them again. I hate time wasters

Friend to meet me at the school after we both drop off our children. Couldn’t find her wouldn't answer phone. Finally she arrived..no phone no gas in her car no money or credit card. Next time…leaving school we plan to meet for dinner. I am at restaurant with DD and friend holding a table for NINE. She is not coming not answering her phone. Finally she texts….oh we went somewhere else. I do still like her still text
and see her rarely but I never made plans again. And retrospectively she was unreliable in many little ways many little occasions and I’m not

Yep two strikes you're out. I hate this, the assumption being that you are so free that you can change your plans without worry. I also hate the 'I'll let you know' when trying to arrange something. No, let me know now she I have the chance to make plans with someone who can.
