Waiting for a call back from 111 but if they don't call in half an hour I was told it's being passed to the ambulance service. Just looking for some reassurance whilst I wait.

Posted yesterday about having tonsillitis and quinsy. Was put on phenoxymethylpeniccilin (don't know how to spell it properly!), I also take 2 omeprazole daily as I suffer with acid reflux when taking medication. Everything seemed fine yesterday and I was surprised how well I was tolerating the medicine. I'm also taking regular paracetamol for pain.

Woke up this morning with stomach cramps and feeling like I needed to open my bowels. Sat on the loo for about half an hour in so much pain and feeling like I couldn't pass anything. Looked in the toilet and saw lots of orange and pink mucous. Then finally passed a loose motion that was mainly white and green. Since then been in so much pain I can't straighten up so I'm just lying in the foetal position in bed. Has anyone had a reaction like this and know what it may be or how I can relieve some of the pain??

@Sweetpea1532 thank you. Just been advised to go to the hospital so about to get a lift there now. Hoping they will be able to sort the pain out quickly!

Oh, @holymolysinuses I pray they will take you in right away so you can be on the road to recovery soon. Tonsillitis is so painful...I was a child in the 60s before there were penicillin tablets so I had to always get a big fat shot for my frequent Tonsillitis....the nurse would have to chase me around the room with the syringe...I was a little Dickens on the surgery Blush

The only time I ever had a white bowel movement was when I had gallstones.

Oh no!!! I am so sorry, that's horrendous! Hope you're being looked after and you feel better soon x

Quinsy should have been straight to hospital anyway. You will feel better, even if it doesn't feel like it now, but need iv antibiotics. Hope you get sorted soon.

Green poo that looks like tar and wont wipe off no matter how many times you scrub your rear end with toilet paper is unfortunately a common side effect of many antibiotics.
