Zero plans. I could really do with a rest as I’ve been flat out, DH is working & probably short notice to see a friend.

What would you get up to given the choice? Rain is forecast, if it makes a difference!

I'd get good food in, line up some things I want to read, some things I want to watch and have a quiet day of rest.

Sparklesocks · 21/07/2023 19:38

Get my nails done. Go for a long walk (with brolly and twin mac). Maybe get a solo lunch or silly coffee. Watch the sort of film DP moans about. Have a wank.

mastertomsmum · 21/07/2023 19:40

I had one last weekend. DC and DH went to a uni open day. I’d been to 2 with DC so I sat this one out. Did some shopping that the DH usually does plus couple of essential chores. Then I went to the RA Summer Exhibition and got home in time to start cooking dinner for us all. Busy but great me time. I quite like going to stuff like that on my own

I'd go to the gym and do a weights session and then come home and do a loovely long yoga stretchy practice, the type I never have time for but would probably really help with the next day aches from the gym!
Then a long hot bath.
Then a fucking massive leisurely lunch whilst reading shite on the internet.
Probably then have a walk in the woods and then a read and a nap on the sofa.
Then cross my fingers DH would come home in time to make me dinner 😁

NuffSaidSam · 21/07/2023 19:46

If you need a rest and it's raining then I'd say a duvet day is prescribed.

Get some snacks and/or a deliveroo.
Nice relaxing bath.
Clean jammies and clean bed sheets essential.
A box set/a book/a film or two/some podcasts and something to do with your hands.

idliketogetdownnow · 21/07/2023 19:47

Breakfast out with the paper. Pedicure, an hour in a bookshop. Afternoon swim then home to watch a film.

greyhairnomore · 21/07/2023 19:47

Sounds like you could do with a 'fuck all' day. Enjoy

Cheesusisgrate · 21/07/2023 19:48

It's perfectly fine to do nothing. It's actually needed sometimes!

early beach walk with my dog

pick up lovely but easy food and nice bottle of wine on drive home

make a start on succulent wreath for my garden (I am super excited for this)

dog walk in the fields opposite my house

do a bit more of my ‘spooky, cross stitch

eat the nice and easy food and drink the nice wine in front of a oldie but goodie movie (pretty in pink maybe)

bed with fresh bedding

My last solo day was bliss. I had to drop DD off at school then headed for a manicure and pedicure before solo coffee and cake in my favourite bakery.
I treated myself to a new book (zero days, it was good) and a bag of candy kittens sweets.
I had a long bath, into clean pyjamas and read until I was hungry… then ordered my favourite Chinese food, scoffed it, then finished my book! It was great!

ZenNudist · 21/07/2023 20:04

I've spent a few solo days lately. Start with pilates, clean the house, go to swimming, then after sorting out more stuff at home I went out with friends.

onefinemess · 21/07/2023 20:29

Probably have a MASSIVE wank, followed by a coffee and and a day binge watching Detectorists.

onefinemess · 21/07/2023 20:31

Obviously would tell DP that I got many things accomplished, in case he suspects anything.

Ultraviolet85 · 21/07/2023 20:31

Long bath having a pamper then clean pjs new duvet set and binge watch Netflix programmes I’ve been meaning to watch but haven’t had a chance to. Plus NAP!

Enko · 21/07/2023 21:59

For me book and coffee shop. I'd probably read my.phone but I'd like the idea of the book with me. And then a rainy day walk with the dog.
