AIBU to take a mattress topper to a charity shop?

It has been used but looks brand new and is freshly washed. Cost £90 new 10 months ago.
I presume a charity shop wouldn't be interested in having this?

I don't think they'll take it - they don't take duvets and pillows, so can't imagine a mattress topper would be acceptable.

You could take it to a recycling centre though.

Just give it away on Freecycle or something.

A charity shop won’t take it.

You could try and give it away on Fb Marketplace or local networks?

I seriously doubt it. I would at the very least call first.

A dogs charity will take it. Just find your nearest charity kennels

Too bulky. Put it on facebook marketplace or something for free and someone might collect it.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 20/07/2023 11:08

@lapisamethyst , ditto to that. Not a topper, but we’ve taken several old duvets to the nearest Dogs’ Trust - they were happy to have them.
I dare say a cat rescue would be the same.

Thanks all for the ideas. I have put it on Facebook marketplace. Will also look into Freecycle and dog charities
