Apparently OH has had this for a couple of weeks. Any idea what it is?

Picture doesn’t show it very well. They’re not like verrucas. They’re little scabs. Lots of them.

Athletes foot

PuttingDownRoots · 16/07/2023 21:09

Is it itchy?

TangledRoots · 16/07/2023 21:09

Possibly prickly heat combined with athletes foot imo.

AdaColeman · 16/07/2023 21:10

Athlete's foot.

RamblingFar · 16/07/2023 21:11

If they are more scabby, than holy, then probably athletes foot.

Get some Lamisil Once on it and it should go away. You may need to bin his socks and buy new ones too.

If it doesn't work in a couple of weeks, then show the pharmacy.

Northernsoullover · 16/07/2023 21:11

Could be dishydrotic excema
(or pompholyx) Does it start with itchy blisters? I have it. Bastarding thing. Mine appears between May and September.

Feliciacat · 16/07/2023 21:11

Pp is right; they’re verrucas. Keep your feet away from people and don’t go in public places barefoot (e.g. swimming baths). I don’t know what the treatment is these days but I had some frozen off in the 90s. Hurts but it’s worth it.

Feliciacat · 16/07/2023 21:12

Sorry, just saw your other post. I posted when there was only one post. I just took ages to write.

KnownByAssociation · 16/07/2023 21:13

It's Pompholyx I'm 99% sure. Have it myself, like PP it appears in the warmer weather. Fairly harmless but I use DH steroid cream he was prescribed for something else which sees it off.

KnownByAssociation · 16/07/2023 21:16

You can see the with brown patches on the skin that's peeling that they are on the skin and come off with the peeling skin. Verrucas are embedded in the foot.

Yarnorama · 16/07/2023 21:21

Another vote for pompholyx.

Definitely not verrucas.

Triggerfinger · 16/07/2023 21:26

Thank you all so much for your input. I know they’re not verrucas as I’ve had these many times. Not seen anything like this before though. I will be down to the pharmacy tomorrow 👍
