WIBU to change hairdressers over this?

I go to the same hairdressers about once every six weeks or so to have my hair cut and coloured. It’s relatively cheap compared to what others charge where I am and I know them all - I used to work as a ‘Saturday girl’ with two of them in a different salon around 20 years ago. One stylist left, opened her own salon and another joined soon after. I’ve been going to this salon since it opened around 16 years ago. They’re all lovely, bit gossipy, but lovely all the same.
However, they constantly run late. I’m not talking about 5 minutes, but at least 20. No matter which stylist I’m booked in with. Yesterday it was half an hour. I find it really frustrating. I understand lateness on the odd occasion - things happen after all, but this is every time. They never apologise either. I asked yesterday whether I was booked in at 12 or half past (knowing full well it was 12) and the stylist muttered a quick sorry but that’s the first time ever.
I like to stay loyal to small businesses like this, but I’m really getting sick of it. WIBU to change salons?

If they do your hair the way you like it, I would just factor it in to be honest.

Can you try and book the first appt of the day, so they aren’t behind yet? Or earlier in the week, as they tend to be busier toward the weekend?

Either get in 1st in the day or sure find somewhere else.

I have ditched more than one hairdresser\salon for the exact same thing. The last one was basically chatting to the client before me & did not care when the junior reminded her twice I was waiting (she was 30 mins late). She ‘lost track of time’.

If it’s easy to find another hairdresser that’s an acceptable price and you like the way they about hair then change. If not just book the first appointment of the day if you are concerned about time keeping.

I too was going to suggest this and if it continues- go elsewhere.

When you are next booked in for say 12, ask them- so should I arrive at 12:30 then, because you are ALWAYS late?
