I would love to make some new friends as I have drifted from most of mine / they have moved away from the area. My problem is, I have really bad social anxiety. I feel ok with someone that I know but the idea of me joining a new hobby terrifies me. I was thinking about either joining a walking group or a local CrossFit club as I’m into health and fitness and therefore I hope that I will meet some like minded people / new friends. I just feel so so scared that I think I will pull up in the car park and won’t be able to get out of the car and will end up driving straight home. I find it hard in large groups as I’m quite a quiet person and therefore people don’t tend to notice me / make an effort. I do try and make conversation with people and put as much effort as I can in but I’m naturally more of an introvert. Does anyone have any tips on how to push through the anxiety? Thank you!
