To think I can’t help the bottom of my face?

It’s so stringy, saggy and lined - I look a lot older than early forties. No one else my age looks this way - I am a size 6 if this matters. It’s happened all of a sudden - I feel miserable 😭

Do nasolabial fold fillers work?

Is there anything I can reliably do?

Please help - I can’t look in the mirror

Yes they do work. Fantastically. But you need to do your research into a good practitioner.

Im sure you are much more self critical than you should be. We always think we look worse than we do. For many of us it does all just go south suddenly in our 40’s. It’s probably better to learn not to give a shit if you can. Easier said than done I know OP.

What do you eat and drink in a typical day? Do you wear SPF? Have you lost weight quickly/recently or always been a size 6? Smoker/drinker? Did your mum/aunties/sisters age similarly?

If you can post a photo (blur out your nose and lips and nobody will recognise you)! it will help people advise.

Face yoga has worked wonders for lifting my cheeks and tightening my lower face. I just do it in front of the computer whilst working. I’m mid-40s and haven’t felt the need to inject anything yet.

I haven’t lost weight but I don’t look after myself well. Looking at pictures of me as a youngster I can see the same face lines but now I look gaunt and very hollow.

my mother is 70 and has aged all of a sudden due to ill health, up to a couple of years ago she was looking great.

I’ll see if I can enlist a child to help me with the picture 🤔

I promise im not trying to be horrible but sometimes being very slim and aging just don’t mesh well together. It’s horrible cos I’m slim too op, I looked gaunt as fuck until I went on steroids which packed a bit of chub on and my cheeks and neck look fuller again.

i do also think we’re always harsh on ourselves. I think I’ve got way more laughter line style wrinkly eyes than my friends but then in the next breath I get bloody IDd in Morrisons!

I read once you have to choose between your arse and your face. I’ve always been this size though, eat whatever I want and don’t exercise. Women often get annoyed about that but they have the lovely faces.

if I put on weight it won’t go to my face will it?

I would have a look into profhilo, that’s good for the lower face.

Do you have a link for the face yoga you do please?

Pretty much everything can be improved with a skillfully performed procedure, but the most appropriate one for you from the plethora of options needs expert advice, as everyone's skin and face shape is different. If you want to go down that route go and see a good doctor. A good doctor won't ask you what procedure you want, just as your GP wont ask you what medecine you want them to prescribe. They will ask what's bothering you, and will then tell you the options. You can then do your research to decide if any are right for you.

Its largely a myth OP that makes us feel better if we are OW.
Suddenly losing weight can mean a loss of facial volume and sagging because the skin is used to being stretched over fat and acts like a deflated balloon when the fat isn't there any more. This isn't applicable to you.
If you gain weight in your 40s neither arse nor face typically benefits, as its tends to all go on round the middle.

I just use youtube, start with these and then you can add others later if you feel like you need to: https://m.youtube.com/@faceyogamethodYou will look like an idiot doing them, but they really do work.

Before you continue to YouTube
