To worry if this is sufficient for naming ceremony gift?

I’m going to a naming ceremony for a friend’s baby twin girls next week. I did spend a lot on gifts since they were born (they’re one now) and bought stuff for their baby shower, when they were born, gift for parents too. So for the ceremony I’ve just got a nice photo album each, wrapped in a bow. AIBU to think I should get more gifts for the babies? They were one 2 weeks ago too. But as I already bought clothes, books, toys, memory books etc (between baby shower and another gift when I first met them) I thought I’d keep this simple. Should I add something else for babies, or is a photo album that their parents can use and they can look back on, enough?!

You have already spent enough OP- its a lovely gift.

I have no idea, but is giving a gift the norm for a naming ceremony?

I ask, because we recently went to the Christening of a relatives child and gave a gift. The parent informed me that a gift wasn't required- because I wasn't chosen to be a godparent! 😬Therefore, maybe a gift isn't needed at all in your case???

I'd say that's an unusual attitude. Any time I've been to a christening everyone has taken a gift.

OP photo albums sounds perfect

That sounds like a lovely gift!
My baby was recently christened and less than 1/4 of attendees gave gifts, but I didn't expect them especially as friends had already been so generous at my baby shower and when they met the baby and with hand me downs etc. it was more about having an event to celebrate him being here and getting everyone together x
