She's drooling and has upset stomach and her mouth looks like this, any ideas? She keeps chewing on her fists too!

She was mid meltdown and extra fussy the last week so took the opportunity to get the photos!

Definitely could be teething, my DS got his first tooth around 3 months.

Fuckitydoodah · 12/07/2023 20:22

I'd be worried something else is causing her pain. I'm not saying its not teething, but it would be unusual. My DS got very fussy with a bad tummy at about 3 months when I introduced formula. He was dairy intolerant. Have you introduced or changed formula?

Peacoffee · 12/07/2023 20:23

Most newborns gums just look like that.

@DinoMummsy interesting thank you! X

@Fuckitydoodah she's been on CMPA milk for a while now, also reflux and is medicated with omeprazole for that x

My 7 week old is the same. Dribble, chewing fists and his gums look the same as your baby’s. I’ve read between weeks 6-9 babies tend to be the most fussy. Lots of developmental stuff going on. Newborns gums tend to look like that. I’m sure there’s a name for it..pearl something 🤔can’t remember! Is baby BF? If so, poos can be very runny. Doesn’t mean upset tummy if that’s what you’re going by.

@Peacoffee thank you, first time mum so wasn't sure x

Baby gaviscon for colic! Honestly the best thing

Cakeandcoffee93 · 12/07/2023 20:28

Tbh my daughter dribbled and chewed from 6 months onwards

ditalini · 12/07/2023 20:42

Ds1 cut his first tooth at 11 weeks and was horribly fussy for a couple of weeks before that, so it would be unusual but not impossible.

soakinboakin · 12/07/2023 21:14

My dd started like this at about 8-10 weeks and I was convinced she was teething. She wasn't. She's now 9 months and only had the two bottom ones !

alanrickmanshamster · 12/07/2023 21:18

Well DD got her first tooth at 9 weeks and 1 day

I know this as she very nearly got dropped after biting me mid feed

I'll never get over it

She had 2 teeth by 16 weeks

Oysterbabe · 12/07/2023 21:19

I see no teeth.
