To waste my evening when there’s so much to do?

is it just me or has anyone else lost all motivation to do anything in their 40’s?

I’ve basically spent the whole evening looking at crap online and snacking. I just feel so distracted.

It’s one of my rare nights alone as my ex has the kids tonight.

my house is a mess. So much to do, but just can’t be bothered. I can’t even concentrate on reading a book. Or even a whole film on Netflix.

I think I’m in peri - menopause, but also suspect I might have ADHD ( several family members have been diagnosed, so it’s not a complete flight of fancy). But don’t know which one. I’m considering medication - if only so I can get the housework done.

Any experienced similar? What caused it ? What did you do?

It can be a trait of adhd, or burnout

I think burnout makes sense. Have been so stressed recently it’s probably that

My advice is find a really good podcast to listen to while tidying up. It makes it a thousand times less tedious.
