To want to pick up without paying exorbitant parking at Heathrow

BFF is coming back from a holiday in a couple of days. I agreed to pick her up from the airport. Aibu to not want to pay exorbitant parking fees?
There must surely be a free/cheap way to pick up from terminal 4? Grateful for any advice.

Get them to come and meet you. It's easy to get the tube to Hatton Cross or a bus up bath road.
