There is a craft beer bar near me that's on my way home, I go in there quite often and know the usual staff quite well.
I went in recently, a guy served me who I've never seen before (it's usually women on FOH) and he was wearing a chef jacket so I guessed he wasn't normally out the front. I asked for a drink, my usual drink (which is delicious but a bit of an acquired taste) and he asked if I was sure I wanted that one and had I had it before. None of the other staff have ever asked me this with any of the drinks I've ordered!
I also ordered food and had a dish I've had a few times before but ordered extra hot sauce on the side. I've done this exact thing before and received exactly that - nice, spicy hot sauce. This time he brought my food out with..sriracha mayo. Now I love sriracha mayo but it's not spicy and it's not what I asked for. Not sure if I'm over thinking this but I couldn't help feel a little put out! Not quite sure why, am I just overthinking this or was he rude?
I just sort of feel he wouldn't have done either if I was a man..
