to ask where to buy legitimate Jordan’s or the best site for Nike trainers?

DS (16) has suddenly wanted to buy Jordan’s hi top (he has money saved) but there seems to be lots of info regarding fakes online.

Can I ask which site you have used for genuine Nike trainers?

He was after the Jordan hi top in green but one site he tried to order from took payment (thankfully PayPal) and a week later refunded stating not available.

Apparently have to be careful on sites like eBay etc as lots of fakes.

Nike have really good sales. I just brought a pair for £40 instead of £75

Xrays · 09/07/2023 16:56

Asos, Schuh. Sometimes they have sales but the latest styles probably won’t be on offer. Worth a look though!

pinguins · 09/07/2023 17:04

Seems extremely obvious but have you tried Sports Direct?

Jenpe · 09/07/2023 17:06

You need to sign up to SNKRS which a spin off from Nike. They have all the new drops on there.

meddysam · 09/07/2023 17:09

nike
size
offspring
footlocker
jdsports
schuh
office

OneTC · 09/07/2023 17:10

Buy direct from nike or endclothing if you want collabs. There's often good sales on there too

OneTwoThreeShake · 09/07/2023 17:10

snkrs and size are the best for air jordans. You usually have to enter a raffle to buy them.

I wouldn't buy any from ebay.

stayathomer · 09/07/2023 17:10

Footlocker or Nike or retailers you know that have concrete premises. It’s just luck with the other places

ThisWOMANWontWheesht · 09/07/2023 17:11

DD always wears Nike as school shoes (like 90% of the whole school do!) and I think the best place is the Nike website. The latest prices, free postage and free returns (including return postage).

DamaskRosie · 09/07/2023 17:13

I'd try KickGame if the ones he wants aren't available on the main Nike site. Genuine trainers and no third parties. They can be expensive though for rare trainers.

Lots of sites that look like shops are actually just online marketplaces where buyers and sellers find each other, some of which also provide a verification service, so sellers list trainers for sale, then when someone places an order the trainers if still available are sent from seller to the site for checking, then onto the buyer. This can go wrong at any stage eg the shoes have already sold elsewhere or they don't pass the check- I suspect this might be what your son experienced. Nothing wrong with these sites but placing an order doesn't guarantee your shoes and your statutory rights are different- you may not be able to return. And of course some sites are just downright dodge.

Thank you!

The hi top he’s after is available in his size, only issue is it’s a woman’s size 9!

Would you or anyone know the difference between men’s size 9 and women’s size 9?

OP posts:
StormCloud2 · 09/07/2023 17:28

I’ve shown him this one, I imagine it’s something to do with the tick not being black that doesn’t appeal. The women’s is available with the black tick.

If only I could convince him this will be fine!

DS is 12 stone and almost 6’, so if the only difference between women’s and men’s trainers is support (not sure if this is the case 100%) then would anyone know?

It’s now loaded!

yes, these are the ones he’s after. Would you know anything about this site though? Genuine?

Double check the euro size mens 9 is a 44. Womens should be no different. eBay is perfectly fine for buying them as they have an authenticity guarantee now.
Jordan 1s,3s,4s and 5s are the most popular, so no good saying green Jordans. The pine green 4s are the most popular at the moment. But they were hard to get when they released them at retail, so you'd be paying reseller prices. Laced are a good reseller and depending where you live there are a few resale shops around.

QuizzlyBears · 09/07/2023 17:44

Do they need to be purchased online? Plenty of legit shops. Nike, Schuh, Office as starting points.

I've bought from them once before with no problems but don't know any more about them than that.

I’ve told him to pop to Manchester but chances of having the ones that he wants, in his size are slim (I think).

The Nike.co.uk website is the best for anything Nike, plus they have offers/sales on from time to time too.

OP the ones he wants came out a couple of years ago, he'll only get them through a reseller. But I'm sure there are a good few resale shops in Manchester. Instagram is another good place to look, but if it seems to good to be true then it likely is.

If we could find resale shops in Manchester that would be good 😃 he’d happily get the train if we knew for definite.

Have placed an order for the Prodirect sport site and will post if they arrive before the Wednesday deadline!

StockX is good for finding hard to get stuff. Not always very cheap though. Delivery takes slightly longer because sellers send it to be authenticated before the site sends it to you.
