AIBU to think that there's a backlash against this whole gender woo stuff and that feminism is starting to be for females again?

I started a thread in FWR earlier about the ones I saw in the V&A .

I have a sneaky feeling that this is due to the recent ruling against the arts Council in their employment tribunal which highlighted the fact that they are biased and discriminated against a gender critical staff member and by implication the LGB Alliance when the made the decision to remove funding from them.

And at the Imperial War Museum too? Can't be a coincidence.

@Hoardasurass can you say that again but slightly simpler for a very tired brain? The arts council removed funding from the LGB Alliance?

@Usertumster this article explains some of it. Basically the arts Council England (ACE) awarded the LGB Alliance funding for a movie/documentary and then the TRAs kicked up a stink about them being transphobic, ACE then cancelled the funding and when a gc member of ACE queried it in a meeting was badly discredited against.

I saw a AHF sticker plastered over an Eddie Izzard theatre poster on the tube a few weeks ago. It was glorious.

I've been in the V&A and IWM this week and didn't see them, only did a wee bit of each museum though.
I'll check next time as I love seeing this stuff out and about.
I have a lovely sticker collection, or did, a week in London has depleted it massively...

The ‘woman artists’ merch has been in the Tate shop for literally years, OP. Do you not go in very often?

The black and white Adult Human Female cards have clearly been placed by someone for a publicity stunt, they're not actually being sold by the V&A or the Tate.

It does seem that these postcards are a bit of grass-roots feminist action. It's illegal to say that women are adult human females these days

My local library had a display shelf of books for pride month. "Time to Think" was front and centre in the display, which was pretty awesome (and funny, and brave)

All these people have suffered financially or their reputations destroyed because of stating AHF = Adult Human Female

I know at least a dozen lesbians in different workplaces who'd never raise their heads and say they're lesbians because on saying so they're immediately terfs

Both my daughters are lesbians and they are never called Terfs . Not sure why that is? Maybe its because they don’t spend their time hassling other people about their private lives or where they piss.

Damage to reputation does not mean illegal. Saying something which is (currently often) considered socially unacceptable and suffering the social consequences does not mean illegal.

It is not illegal to say a woman is an adult human female. I think you need a dictionary.

I think a massive backlash is brewing. Women are rightly fed up with not only being told that men can be women but that some from the trans rights movement are inciting violence against anyone who understands that men absolutely cannot be women.

I stickered a busy venue in a big city not so long ago and I was delighted to find that they’d not been removed when I went back a week later.

Yeah most women don’t either because they’d be too scared to. That’s the whole f’ing point. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I personally wouldn't mind if they were private lives but they're not, are they? That's the problem. Trans people wanting everyone else to agree that how they see themselves is reality, encroaches on others' lives.

And 'where they piss' very much encroaches on others' lives, if you're talking about transwomen using women's facilities and thereby excluding, for instance, orthodox Jewish women, Muslim women, women with trauma from suffering abuse from men, from having anywhere they can piss.
