Feeling completely drained and stressed by my job and it’s starting to take over my evenings and weekends. All I can think about it how much I hate it and wanting to leave, and I just feel so stressed. If you’re in a job you hate how do you not let it ruin your weekends?

@C1239 I'm sorry I have no advice for you, as I feel exactly the same way. I hate my job so much I feel symptoms of anxiety when I'm not there at the thought of going back. The only thing that does work for a short time is getting out the house and keeping busy. But the work anxiety returns as soon as i'm home and trying to relax. I hope you find something that works for you OP. Flowers

You are more than your job. It is just what you do, it’s not who you are ❤️
I know that can be difficult to remember when you spend most of your life at work but it’s so important to try to remind yourself. I’m sorry you’re struggling right now and I hope it gets better for you. If not, is there a chance you can look for something new? We spend far too much time in our jobs to be anxious and unhappy for those hours of the day and letting it interfere with life outside of work is not good for your mental health at all xx

I don’t have a solution.

My job is really stressful and I loathe it. I tend to work on a Sunday to keep on top of it but when I open my laptop on a Monday morning, I feel my heart racing and I just dread it. It has leached into every bit of free time I have and I don’t even fully enjoy holidays as I spend so much time dreading going back to work.

I am always looking for something else and I’d be happy with a nice admin job. But my job is so niche, I think I get discarded at the application stage as I am over-qualified.
