To be fed up with my neighbours?

My neighbours start things but don't finish them...ever!

I've reported them previously for leaving household items in the shared alleyway out of the back. They didn't move it for around 2 months so by then an email to the council ended up with them coming to take the stuff away.

So today they decided to strim the bush that is in my front garden. It was slightly overgrown and due a trim and I suppose I should be glad they've trimmed it down, but they've left loads of branches in my garden. That'll be some of my Saturday clearing that up.

Also, lots of bits of the bush has blown off on the pavement and they've not cleared that up.

I'm a bit pissed off as people going past will think that I haven't cleared up after myself!

AIBU and should just be glad they've trimmed back the bush?

Have you spoken to them and asked why they have trimmed your bush?

Daphnis156 · 06/07/2023 22:51

Why had you not trimmed it?

WhatADrabCarpet · 06/07/2023 22:57

Any trimmings that were on your side are your responsibility.

Why didn't you trim it?

SpeedbirdSquawker · 06/07/2023 23:00

I have been to busy to cut the bush myself.

Lol

They can actually put all the clippings on your side for you to clear up yourself anyway. Maybe they are too busy to clear up the clippings from your plant.

I'd be annoyed if someone trimmed my bush without asking! Wink
