I know it's a topic of debate whether to share pictures of children on parents' social media due to consent. For me, sharing this and then hiding the face is a bit disingenuous. It's still sharing the child's information about their life in my opinion. Subjectively, I just wouldn't share any pics, rather than hiding their faces. And possibly share actual pictures with family on private apps. Fully aware that others will whole heartedly disagree with me.

No idea who Dr Emily is or why you've used her to say you don't believe in sharing kid's images on SM.

For what it's worth, I agree about not sharing their pics as I think they should be left to make that decision for themselves when they're old enough.

Who gives a shit what people share or don't share? She doesn't want her kids face shown but obviously is proud of her child for doing well at cheerleading.

Every family managed this differently. I'm sure she has thought about it, and decided that this is what works for her family. It might not be my choice, but I also don't think it warrants a public thread to criticize her (and presumably her husband/partner, who isn't mentioned).
